Footprints Christian Academy of Dance is a dance studio offering dance education for ages 2 through adult. We focus on building well trained and disciplined dancers along with building the person as a whole. Our music selections are always positive, uplifting and age appropriate. The core of our costume selections is modesty. We believe that each student is important, and possesses the ability to excel in each aspect of dance. The instructors at Footprints not only have a love for dance, but a love for teaching and a love for our Lord. The students of Footprints receive high quality dance training along with a sense of belonging. For over 10 years, we have prided ourselves on bringing the art of dance to our community.

I am so excited that you are interested in joining our dance family! I love all of our dancers and look forward to seeing their sweet faces each week. I believe in mentoring each dancer to their fullest potential through high quality dance instruction, life encouragement, and character building. I challenge them to strive for their best in dance and in life.
I was raised in Hammond and started dancing at the age of 2 with Jeannie Tinnerello and danced with her all the way through high school. I was a member of the fabulous “Showstopper” company and traveled to many competitions, performances, and workshops. While still in high school, I started my dance business in 3 local day cares and taught 20 students three afternoons a week. I was also a cheerleader at Hammond High and captain of the squad in my senior year. After high school, I took a brief break from dancing while enrolled at Southeastern.
In 2005, I officially opened Footprints. In 2012, I received my National Certification from Dance Masters of America, a professional program with high dance standards and attention to traditional forms of dance as well as the newest trends in dance. In 2010, I was selected as Dance Teacher of the Year by Dance Teachers United. Also in 2010, I took 15 of my dancers on a fabulous trip to New York! They took classes at the Broadway Dance Center, enjoyed a beautiful river cruise, experienced the Broadway play Mary Poppins, and enjoyed many other memorable moments. Throughout the last 10 years, my dances have won numerous choreography awards, special judges awards, and overall awards at competitions.
I look forward to seeing you for the upcoming dance year! Come join our dance family and make some memories with us!
